Ain’t no mountain high enough … was playing on repeat in the collective conscience of RDT’s Team Elmo during a recent hike up Ben Nevis.

Now, whilst we enjoy mountains as much as the next business, we need an incentive to climb them. The charity Just4Children.org gave us more than enough reasons to strap our boots on.

At 1,346 metres above sea level, Ben Nevis stands tall the highest mountain in the British Isles. As one team member noted at the foot of the landmass: “challenge accepted”.

Five and a half hours later, the team found themselves nestled like pepper pots on a cloud-covered table top. Fuelled with a well-earned drink (it might have been a Jaeger), they embarked upon a two hour descent.

Thus far, the efforts of these brave mountain climbers has raised around £3,000. You can help top up the Just4Children.org pot here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/forelmo

In homage of the team – and to take them back to the western end of the Grampian Mountains – let’s finish by handing over to Marvin.
